Forecasting

Forecasting projects the future spend of your organization from the available billing data. Open it from Spend > Forecasting in the left sidebar.

Use Forecasting when you need to:

• Review the projected spend for the next 30 days or 90 days.
• Change between the daily view and the monthly view.
• Compare the forecast trends against the recent data.
• Review the forecast details of each pool.
• See how many days of billing data support the projection.

Forecast views

Use the view selector to change between Daily and Monthly forecasting. Use the horizon selector to change between 30 Days and 90 Days.

Summary

Four cards summarize the forecast of the organization:

• MTD Actual gives the actual spend of this month up to today, with the date range and the number of days counted.
• Projected Month-End gives the projected total for the full month. An 80% confidence interval appears under the total.
• VS Last 30 Days gives the change in percent against the previous 30 days. A label says whether the trend increases, decreases, or stays stable.
• Data Maturity gives the number of days of billing data behind the forecast, with a confidence label.

Availability states

Forecasting needs enough billing history to compute a projection. When the page cannot show a forecast, it gives one of these messages:

• Not enough data. DigiUsher needs at least a few months of billing data for a forecast. Open the page again when DigiUsher reads more data.
• Forecast is being computed. The computation usually takes a few minutes.
• Forecast unavailable. DigiUsher cannot compute the forecast at this time. Try again later.

Forecast by showback pool

The Forecast by Showback Pool table compares the forecast spend of the showback pools for the selected horizon.
